A modular particle electron gun using ROSA is designed for the application of ultrafine electron beams. The electron gun consists of three parts: electron filter, electron beamlet, and electron beamlets array. The electron beamlet is supported by a strong magnetic field generated by the cavity solenoid. Some of the beamlets are vertically rotated and arranged by adjusting the orientation of the cavity solenoid. The measured lots of the beamlets are more than 100. The gun is designed and constructed in a carbon-fiber cryostat which has an internal field coiling. The electron gun and the cryostat that holds them make it possible to radiate a pulsed electron beam with very low numbers of particles and with very short duration. This pulsed electron can penetrate through an uncoated test target, and can create S2 and S1 core radiation. The results prove the efficiency of the gun designing based on controlled rotation. In addition, a new empirical formula for the conversion from beam current to beamlet current is established.« less Publications
Modeling and prediction of the optical response of silicon-on-insulator samples is an important part of optoelectronics, for applications such as waveguides, photodetectors and lasers. In this work, a multiphysics finite element modeling of silicon-on-insulator waveguides in the visible wavelengths is presented. World-wide, the research and technical applications of the ion cyclotron resonance magnetometer have become popular. The 50 oHz magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet, collimator, solenoid and its anode pole piece have been routinely used to magnetize high-performance superconducting magnet and to provide a fixed polarity for the magnetic field in the accelerator. However, the direct implementation of ion cyclotron resonance magnetometer for a given fixed magnetic field is always associated with high electromagnetic fields which potentially leads to interplanar breakdown in superconducting magnet and so has to be avoided. Apparatus has been presented in this paper for reducing the magnetic fields in ion cyclotron resonance magnetometer. d2c66b5586
