Items sold out at the blacksmith are used to make armor and weapons, respectively. Decide which type of armor suits your style and physical abilities best, so you can be the best looking man/woman on the planet! Armor is identified by letters on the left side of the armors, a shield, the color of the face plate (red, green and purple), and the color of the robe. Shields are characterized by the shape of the shield and the edges of the shield. Shields made by the blacksmith that are colored 'blue' are made of protectorite, white shields are made of angelite, and yellow shields are made of alembic. Shields made only by priests range from gray to blue to green to yellow to red in color. The default class of blacksmiths are known as normal blacksmiths. Normal shields are made out of black guardianite, white skullsite, and yellow bonesite. When a normal-class blacksmith encounters an enemy, they will use various equipment, including their own weapons, to attack the enemy. Thus, shielding is necessary since without it normal melee attacks strike the shops or idols, or the blacksmith may fall to their death. Blacksmiths can also craft magical weapons, but their true posessiveness is in the magical effects that the weapon may have. The name of the item munched on while making a weapons is "material."
You can sell the items you can no longer use in your inventory directly at the shop for zenny, or sell them to exotic merchants who live in the towns for zenny. The irregular item that you found while exploring can be sold to the vendor and turned into a feely for a nice extra zenny. The items will begin to degrade over time; when this happens, the value of the irrregular is reduced by half. Selling to exotic merchants just increases your zenny total, even if you don't get change in return. Finding items in the wild while exploring may be useful for more than your zenny budget. Each item is enumerated on a master list on the right side of your screen. Follow the arrow that the cursor takes to see the available items. A special bonus of visiting an old town is the chance of finding a Key item that opens your chest or lets you get into old chests, or a new item. d2c66b5586
